<p>Membership in the Order is open to any man or woman 18 years of age or older, who can prove a lineal or collateral relationship (using standards of proof generally accepted in the genealogical community) to one or more of our propositi. Qualifying propositi include the chief executives of the following Republics, and their spouses:</p>
<ol>
<li>The United States of America under the U.S. Constitution</li>
<li>The Vermont Republic</li>
<li>The Republic of West Florida</li>
<li>The Republic of Texas</li>
<li>The California Republic</li>
<li>The Confederate States of America</li>
<li>The Republic of Hawaii</li>
</ol>
<p>and also the presiding officers of the following historic representative bodies, and their spouses:</p>

<li>The Continental Congress of the United Colonies of America</li>
<li>The Continental Congress of the United States of America</li>
<li>The United States in Congress Assembled under the Articles of Confederation</li>
