<p>Membership is restricted to women who are lineal descendants of an ancestor of worthy life who came to reside in an American Colony prior to 1750, and who rendered efficient service to his country before July 5, 1776, including service as a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, either in the founding of a Commonwealth, or an institution which has survived and developed into importance, or who shall have held an important position in a Colonial government, or who, by distinguished service shall have contributed to the founding of the United States of America.</p>
<p>Membership is by invitation only.</p>
