<p>Membership to the Order shall be limited to men and women of good moral character and reputation who are at least 18 years of age and can prove lineal descent from our specific “Women of Consequence” who have been chosen based upon their contributions. Bios will be provided to applicants to aid in the selection process.</p>
<p>Born into a world dominated by men, these women disregarded society’s precept in order to pursue their own aspirations or needs, influencing arts, science, literature, the judiciary, religion, government, and the military to the benefit of humanity of their time. The Order supports increasing universal access to actual medieval documents; encouraging historical/genealogical research; and preserving documents, lineages, and other significant data related to the geographic region from Byzantium to include all Western Europe during the period 500—1500 A.D. “We cannot live in a world that is interpreted for us by others...use our own voice, see our own light.” St. Hildegard of Bingen, 1098 - 1179</p>
<p>Membership is by invitation only. However, inquiries are welcome.</p>
