Descendants of the Anglo-Saxon Kings of England, who preceded the Norman Conquest. The lineage runs from King Cerdic, the first King of Wessex (ruled 519-534), through King Alfred the Great (ruled 871-899), who unified the seven Anglo-Saxon kingdoms to create a unified Anglo-Saxon England, to King St. Edward the Confessor, the last of the House of Wessex to be King of Anglo-Saxon England (ruled 1042-1066). Note that Queen St. Margaret of Scotland, granddaughter of King Edmund Ironside, King of England (of the House of Wessex) will be a likely source of lineage for many people.
Inquiries are welcome.
