Eligible for membership in the Order are ladies and gentlemen who are lineal descendants of the first King of the Merovingian Dynasty, Merovech (Merovee), who was King of the Salic Franks, 448-457. Candidates for membership must be proposed in writing by two members of the Order and approved by the Membership Committee. Letters of proposal and endorsement are sent to the President General, who, with the approval of the Membership Committee may issue an invitation for membership.
In all cases, the Genealogist General of the Order shall be the final determinant of eligibility. Proven ancestral lines are accepted from the following societies: Order of the Crown in America; Baronial Order of Magna Charta; National Society Americans of Royal Descent; National Society Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede; The Military Order of the Crusades; Order of Three Crusades 1096-1192; Order of the Crown of Charlemagne in the United States of America.
Membership is by invitation only.
