Original Members are those who received the Ardennes Campaign battle star of the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal as defined by War Department General Orders 114, dated December 7, 1945. The battle star was awarded to those who were assigned or attached to, and present for duty with, a unit during the period in which it participated in combat, or actually engaged in combat regardless of the unit to which assigned, in the Ardennes region of eastern Belgium and Northern Luxemburg from December 16, 1944, to January 25, 1945, known as the Battle of the Bulge. Combat service must have been in the area forward of the line: Euskirchen-Eupen (inclusive)- Liege (exclusive), east bank of the Meuse River to its intersection with the Franco-Belgian border, thence south and east along this border and the southern border of Luxembourg.
Hereditary Members are the direct descendants of those who are Original Members or would have been qualified to have been Original Members. Hereditary Members have the full privileges of memberships.
Associate membership is available for relatives and friends of Battle of the Bulge Members or those having an historical interest or study of the Battle of the Bulge.
