She was married to the late John Michael Power, and has four stepsons: Michael, Stephen, Barry and Jason Power, as well as nine (9) grandchildren and four (4) great-grandchildren.

Additionally, Mrs. Power has been the president/owner of J&J Power Communications for over twenty-five (25) years; a woman/minority-owned certified advertising specialties, promotion and marketing company.
