<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia,serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Frederick Anderson Morse, was born in Washington, D.C., son of Donald E. Lancaster and Doris Ann Tolbert, and adopted son of Frederick Whitton Morse and Nita Ligon Morse, Esq. A graduate of St. Christopher’s School in Richmond and The College of William & Mary, he also attended Birkbeck, University of London and Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2018, he became the Development Director for The Society of the Cincinnati and was appointed Executive Director in 2022 overseeing all operations of the Society, its American Revolution Institute educational division, and Anderson House, their National Historic Landmark headquarters. He previously worked ten years at George Washington’s Mount Vernon where he was also Development Director.
 
<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia,serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Mr. Morse’s first career consisted of more than twenty-five years in banking, holding executive and management posts in corporate, international, securities and real estate finance. He was Managing Director/CEO of Riggs Bank Europe Limited in London, England; and Chairman, President and Executive Director of Riggs Real Estate Investment Corp. The Financial Network Investment Corp. (owned by Aetna/Cetera) named Andy as its 1997 national Investment Executive of the Year. He also has a strong record of volunteerism and leadership with civic and philanthropy groups, presiding on seven non-profit boards. Most recently, he was a director for ten years and 2019 president of the Virginia Law Foundation, and a Trustee of Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
